If you haven’t yet visited the New Memphis Railroad and Trolley Museum here in Memphis Tennessee then you are missing out on some great history.  It’s a great place for kids also because kids Love trains!!

South Main Association got a sneak peak at this new Memphis treasure because they were the host of our May 2012 monthly membership meeting.

Our speaker was Linn Sitler, Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commissioner.  She told many great stories of how Memphis movie making began and how the corner of GE Patterson and South Main became a favorite of film producers.  She helped us realize how important and how much history we have right here in our own neighborhood.

And now with the Memphis Railroad and Trolley Museum we have even more history to share.  South Main is really coming alive and we hope you will bring your friends to show them all of what we have to offer.
